The movie opens as both Rahul [Arjun Rampal] and his friend, Karan [Zayed Khan] discover the deceased body of Rahulls wife, Puja [Amisha Patel], hanging in the living room of her home. Throughout the movie, many twists and mysteries pop up, surrounding the mystery of Pooja sudden death. There are frequent flashbacks of Poojas past with both Rahul and Karan. As the investigations go on, the audience finds out that Karan was Pooja ex-boyfriend. Karan was dashing and good-looking, but had one flaw- He was obsessive of Pooja. Karans flaw caused Pooja to hate him and silently, break-up with him by marrying a handome, wealthy man, Rahul, who fell in love with her ever since he saw her dance to the song, Zindagi ko Savar De Maula. Pooja loves her husband very much and flashbacks are shown with a happy marriage which gets shattered with the accident of Rahul and Pooja, causing Rahul to become blind. Unknowingly, Karan was unaware of Pooja marriage to Rahul as he had gone on a trip to earn money to become worthy of Pooja hand in marriage. When he comes back, he is heartbroken to find out that his lover is married and becomes business partners/friends with Rahul. One day, Rahul takes Karan to his house, where Karan is in for a surprise as he sees Pooja! Pooja is shocked to see Karan, but tells him that she only loves her husband. The movie goes back to the present where an unknown man is trying to blackmail Karan as Poojas jewelry is found on his drawer. To make matters worse, someone has tried to kill Rahul! After s search of investigations, the police take Karan to the police station. Eventually Karan is indicted, but denies his involvement as Pujas former lover and stalker, even though he knows that he loved POoja. Also, the fact that Rahul is, in fact, not blind is unveiled as he had an eye operation to cure his blindness, but he keeps up the act of being blind. Karan discovers that Rahul is trying to frame him, but he does not understand why, until a candid interview, when hes already been brought to jail, where Rahul reveals that Puja committed suicide. After having his eye operation, when Rahul went to surprise Pooja, to his shock, he saw Pooja in the arms of Karan. Feeling betrayed, Rahul ignores Pooja, who wonders about the strange behavior of her husband. After Rahul indirectly reveals to Pooja that he has gained his eyesight, pooja feels a sense of guilt. She realizes that Rahul had seen the two of them together and ashamed of herself, commits suicide the next morning. In a tape which Pooja leaves, she reveals all the truth to Rahul. Karan was Poojas past and violently possessive boyfriend, whose obsession became the worst of him. Fearing his anger and craziness, Pooja decides to leave Karan, only to find him with Rahul. When Karan came back, he threatened Pooja by stating that if she doesnt cheat on her husband with him, then Karan shall kill the innocent Rahul. Fearing for Rahuls safety, Pooja decides to play along with Karan, only to make matters worse. Throughout the movie, Rahul was attempting on getting revenge against Karan for Pujas death, because she committed suicide due to Karans constant torments. If Karan didnt enter their lives, then none of them would have to see this day.
